Axel Retif: Broken Sands

This is the third monographic album by the Mexican composer Axel Retif.

When I first listened to Broken Sands, the album by Axel Retif, I was immediately reminded of that day and sensed that his music stood apart from that of many of my colleagues. It is clear he is telling a deeply personal story, one drawn from his complex and chaotic inner world. His music seems to emerge from the unseen layers of his origin, revealing emotions and memories often buried beneath the surface.
